After the PM visit, Enxhi and I saw a bear in the beach so we run to go take a picture with him. <3 |
In Fushe-Kruje there is a monument of George W. Bush. There is the place where he meet the Albanian people during his visit in 2007 |

Ejona,
ReplyDeleteHow did the beach events turn out? Did a lot of people volunteer? Another one of the girls interning in Albania mentioned that volunteering isn't a "big thing" there, so I'm interested to know about the success of a volunteer-based initiative.
A bear?! Just on the beach?! Wow. That is quite the picture! It's not as good as the picture of all of your all cleaned up- very nice!
I find it invigorating that you are so proud of your heritage. You are truly taking it all in while you are there. Keep that alive.
Didn't Albania lose pretty quickly in the World Cup? I didn't know that soccer was popular there.
Best,
Tammy
Volunteering is not a big thing in Albania, but the young people, especially the ones who have lived outside of the country for a while, have understood the importance of volunteering, so now more and more people are doing it. The event turned out great! There were many people in there and they promised to return and help in the following days, until this mission ends.
ReplyDeleteYes a bear in the Beach. That surprises a lot of tourists. Enxhi and I got very excited when we saw it. I always wanted to have a picture with the bear when I was little, so now I do! :)
Albania Was not part of the World Cup, but we love the (REAL) football. There are many footballists from Albania playing for other countries. Every time there is a game all the coffee shops and the clubs/bars get full of people. You see no one in the streets and there is a lot of fun.
